Israeli press: Government approves construction of 22 new settlements in occupied Palestinian lands
The Israeli Security Cabinet has reportedly approved the construction of 22 new illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank.
A local press report noted that Defense Minister Israel Katz and far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich have proposed establishing 22 new illegal settlements in occupied Palestinian territory in the West Bank.
The cabinet reportedly approved the proposal in a secret vote last week, approving the construction of 22 new illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Israel Gantz, head of the Yesha Council, an organization operating in the West Bank, described the government's move as "the most important decision" since the occupation of the West Bank in 1967, in a statement to local media.
There has been no official comment yet on the decision by Tel Aviv authorities to build 22 new illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land.
There are currently about 250 illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
This illegal settlement, which separates Palestinian cities and even villages, is deepening the occupation.
Meanwhile, Israelis are frequently attacking Palestinian villages in the West Bank, burning homes, cars, and farmland, and cutting down olive trees.
The lives of Palestinians under occupation in the West Bank are becoming increasingly difficult as a result of Israeli attacks on Palestinian lands.
