Israel offers Thai vacation to soldiers who lost limbs in Gaza clashes
The Israeli government has prepared a special gift to support soldiers who were injured during military operations in the Gaza Strip and lost parts of their bodies - arms, legs or other limbs. At the initiative of the country's Ministry of Defense, a group of soldiers who were seriously injured in the war were given a one-week, fully paid vacation in Thailand.
The initiative is being described as a "symbol of recovery and gratitude." During their trip to Thailand, the soldiers will be provided with wellness treatments, psychotherapy sessions, cultural excursions, and recreational activities.
According to Israeli officials, the aim of such care is to support the physical and mental health of combat veterans and reintegrate them into social life.
Military experts and public activists are divided on this initiative. Some recognize it as a humanitarian step, while others criticize it for normalizing war in society through such privileges.
It should be noted that during the Israel-Gaza war, hundreds of soldiers were injured and dozens of soldiers lost their lives. Thailand is a popular destination for Israel, both for tourism and medical rehabilitation.
