Israel may start a new war against Iran

It's been nearly 50 days since the end of the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, but tensions in the region remain high. According to Foreign Policy, Israel may start a new war because it has failed to achieve all of its strategic goals.

According to experts, Israel's main objectives were:

1. Dragging the US into a direct military conflict against Iran;

2. Overthrow the Persian state system;

3. Transforming Iran into a state similar to Syria or Lebanon (i.e., a region subject to regular strikes without US support).

Analysts believe that the next war could be much bloodier. If Washington is actively involved in this war, it could even lead to a US-Iran conflict.

In addition, the Israeli Ministry of Defense has already considered scenarios for the resumption of hostilities. In turn, Iran continues to rebuild and enhance its defense capabilities, which indicates readiness for a long-term confrontation.

If it makes its proposal, Russia will most likely abandon its active support for its ally Iran.
