Israel may attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure in coming months - US intelligence
The Washington Post, citing its sources, reported that Israel is planning to strike Iran's nuclear facilities in the coming months.
According to US intelligence, a potential attack could set back Iran's nuclear program by a few weeks to six months, but would certainly further escalate tensions in the Middle East.
According to the publication's sources, Israel is preparing to attack the Fordo and Natanz nuclear facilities in the first half of 2025. The military leadership plans to use the experience gained from the operation against Iranian air defenses in October last year.
According to sources, Israel is considering two attack options: air-launched ballistic missiles and BLU-109 bunker-busting bombs targeting nuclear facilities.
The United States could play a significant role in this operation, particularly in providing aerial refueling, reconnaissance, and targeting for Israeli aircraft.
In December, media outlets reported that Israel was preparing to strike Iran, based on the current situation in Syria.
Iran has not yet officially responded to these claims, but has previously repeatedly stressed that it would respond decisively to a possible Israeli attack.
