Israel accuses Egypt of violating peace agreements

The Israeli government has criticized Egypt's efforts to strengthen its military infrastructure in the Sinai Peninsula, warning that it violates the terms of the Camp David peace accords.

According to Israeli security sources, Egypt is building military fortifications in the area that is supposed to be demilitarized and erecting barriers that would hinder Israeli operations in the event of conflict. These actions are said to be in violation of international agreements.

However, Cairo denies such accusations, saying such measures are necessary to protect its territorial integrity and security. Egyptian government officials have stressed that the threat of terrorism is increasing and that security in Sinai needs to be strengthened.

Israel's criticism is gaining public attention in light of its own repeated violations of agreements. In particular, military operations in the Philadelphia Corridor were recognized as actions that violated the Camp David Accords. Egypt's current strategy is seen as a response to such violations.

Political analysts believe that Israel's criticism reflects its dissatisfaction with Egypt's preparations against possible attacks.

Ensuring long-term peace under the Camp David Accords remains an important task, but questions about the need to revise these agreements may also be on the agenda.
