Iranian officials denied reports that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is seriously ill and released a video showing his meeting with the ambassador to Lebanon, who was injured in a pager blast on November 17.
Iranian mass media, in particular, IRNA news agency, reported that on November 17, the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, met with the Iranian ambassador to Beirut, Mojtaba Amani, who was injured as a result of a pager explosion.
The diplomat, whose left eye was injured, told the head of state about his health. It is reported that he will soon return to Lebanon and resume his duties.
Earlier, many mass media reported that the Iranian leader is in a coma and his condition is serious. Against the background of these reports, it was said that the issue of his possible successor is being discussed.
In particular, Iran International TV reported that the son of the current leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, Mujtaba Khamenei was secretly elected as his deputy.
