Deputies of the Russian State Duma unanimously adopted the law, which envisages confiscation of property and deprivation of honorary titles for activities directed against the country, as well as public insult and discrediting the army. This is stated in a message posted on the website of the Russian legislative body.
"We have discussed this issue with you several times - the absolute majority supports the need to punish the traitors who bring trouble to our country from abroad, the soldiers and officers who took part in the Northern Military District, the support and financing of the Nazi Kiev regime ," State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav said. Volodin on his Telegram channel .
"The adopted decision allows to punish those who act against their homeland - to deprive these bastards of honorary titles, as well as to confiscate their property, money and other valuables, " he said.
The document was submitted for consideration by a group of deputies headed by the chairman of the parliamentary chamber Vyacheslav Volodin on January 22 and was adopted in the first reading on January 24.
