Germany has frozen 4.1 billion euros of Russian assets
The matter froze the money and property of Russian individuals, as well as the assets of the Bank of Russia.
In early December, Germany froze about 4.1 billion euros worth of Russian assets as part of the EU sanctions regime . This was reported by the representative of the German Ministry of Finance . Anadolu reported .
"These frozen assets include the economic resources of individuals, as well as all assets of the Central Bank of Russia subject to sanctions, " the report said.
Earlier, the General Prosecutor's Office of Germany sent a request to the court to confiscate the assets of one of the Russian banks in Frankfurt worth 720 million euros.
Maria Zakharova, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation , commented on this issue and noted that it is illegal to freeze the assets of foreign banks belonging to Russia and it can be considered as open theft.
