Demand for Halal-certified cosmetics has increased sharply in Russia

The demand for halal cosmetics is growing in Russia.

According to Ozon, interest in these products has increased by 26 percent in a year, with more than 362,000 customers purchasing them.

The demand is not based on religious belief, but on trust in safe and quality content.

Halal cosmetics were sold the most in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory, Sverdlovsk and Leningrad Regions, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to research by Mordor Intelligence, the size of the halal cosmetics market will reach $91.5 billion in 2024.

In the coming years, this market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 7.48% and reach $131.2 billion by 2029.
