Bulgarian government cancels agreement with Ukraine
The Bulgarian government has abandoned plans to sell two nuclear reactors to Ukraine, the country's Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov said in a statement.
According to him, Bulgaria intends to independently develop its nuclear energy due to rising global electricity prices.
According to Forbes, the cancellation of this agreement could negatively affect the construction of a new nuclear power unit, as the project will be deprived of financial resources under the agreement with Ukraine.
It should be noted that after the start of the war in Ukraine, the country's energy system, in particular nuclear energy, has been in a difficult situation.
