Britain is reconsidering its stance on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham

London will consider removing Hayat Tahrir al-Sham from the list of terrorist organizations, taking into account the changes in Syria.

Britain may reconsider the status of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) as a banned organization after the group led the opposition that led to the overthrow of Syrian President Bashar. Pat McFadden, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs of Great Britain, informed about it.

"We will consider this matter. "I think the decision will depend on how the group behaves at the moment," McFadden told Sky News when asked about the possibility of a review of HTSh's status.

"I think a relatively quick decision should be made given the changing situation," he added in an interview with BBC radio.

International governments, including Britain, hailed the fall of the Assad regime, calling it one of the biggest turning points for the Middle East in decades.

"The Syrian people have suffered too long under the Assad regime and we welcome his departure," the prime minister said in a statement published on the British government's website.

FYI, HTS is a terrorist organization in the UK. This makes any assistance or participation in its activities illegal.
