Britain imposed sanctions on Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan companies
Britain included Uzbekistan's Uzstanex and Kazakhstan's CPS Energy, TOO TawKZ and Rabadaziya on the list of sanctions against Russia. These companies were accused of "providing resources, goods or technology that could destabilize Ukraine or undermine its territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence."
Britain updated the list of sanctions and added several companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. In particular, the Uzstanex LLP company, which is part of the StanexGroup holding, was included in the list. This company is engaged in the sale and adjustment of equipment in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
"The company participated in actions aimed at destabilizing Ukraine or undermining its territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence, provided financial services or provided resources, goods or technologies that could destabilize Ukraine or undermine its territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence," the company's sanctions list reads. in the statement justifying its inclusion.
In addition, on the same grounds, Britain introduced sanctions against the Kazakh companies CPS Energy LLP, TOO TawKZ and Rabadaziya LLP.
A week before that, the USA imposed sanctions against the Uzstanex company. According to the US Treasury Department, this company acted as the nominal consignee of equipment shipments from Europe to China's Shanghai Winsun Imp and Exp Co Ltd for subsequent delivery to Russia.
The Elite Investment Group, which is engaged in the production and supply of industrial enterprises, automatic control systems and electrical equipment, is also included in the sanctions list. Between March and May 2024, this company supplied Russia with products worth approximately 190,000 dollars, including electrical transformers. It is alleged that these deliveries were intended for the Russian company GTS Grupp, which was previously under US sanctions.
