An Iranian general was killed in Syria

Fighting between anti-government groups and the country's army continues in Syria's Aleppo and Idlib provinces. It is said that in one of these battles, the general of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Qayumars Pourhashimi, was killed.

Brigadier General Qayumars Pourhashimi, commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is believed to have been killed in an attack by anti-government armed groups west of Aleppo.

According to the report of the semi-official Tasnim news agency of Iran, which is close to the ICRC, Brigadier General Purhashimi, described as a "military adviser", was killed in an attack by the Syrian opposition near Aleppo.

The report did not provide detailed information about Purhashimi's military duties.

For information, clashes between the regime of Bashar al-Assad and the armed group "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)" have been going on for two days in Aleppo and Idlib regions of Syria.

During the clashes, the opponents of the regime captured a total of 39 villages under the control of the Assad regime.
