Afghanistan prepares to sign strategic agreement with Russia



Afghanistan is preparing for a strategic agreement with Russia on natural gas transit, said Rustam Khabibullin, head of the Russian Business Center in Afghanistan, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the agreement, it is planned to transit 50 million cubic meters of Russian gas through the territory of Afghanistan to the countries of Southeast Asia. According to Khabibullin, experimental deliveries of these shipments have already been carried out.

In addition, Russia and Afghanistan have an agreement on the annual supply and transit of 50 million tons of petroleum products and 2 million tons of wheat.

For information, a law has been signed in Russia to temporarily suspend the activities of terrorist organizations, which includes the Taliban movement.
