A strategy for the development of Islamic education in Russia until 2037 is being developed
The Religious Assembly of Muslims of Russia is developing a strategic plan for the development of Islamic education in the country. The project will cover the period until 2037, TASS reports.
According to the State Committee for Islamic Education, the strategy defines the goals, objectives, main directions and expected results of the Islamic education system in Russia. The authors of the project took into account the needs and interests of the Muslim community in Russia when developing it.
The assembly also proposes to introduce a spiritual mentoring institute. This initiative will help young professionals learn from experienced scholars and retain talented personnel in local Islamic educational institutions.
As Albir Krganov, head of the DSMR, noted, this initiative will serve to preserve and develop Islamic traditions for future generations.
