It is noted that 12 people , including 10 security personnel and 2 civilians, were killed and 39 security personnel were injured in 51 terrorist attacks organized throughout the country on the election day. Most of the attacks took place in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan .
In the statement that 5 terrorists were neutralized in the clashes , it was emphasized that many possible threats have been eliminated.
It was also noted that 137,000 soldiers and paramilitary units , 7,800 rapid response forces were allocated to ensure election security at approximately 6,000 " sensitive " polling stations.
Voting started at 08:00 local time and ended at 17:00 for the election of the National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies of Pakistan, which act as the legislative body of Pakistan for 5 years.
