"The Muslim Woman's Makeup Book" - The Adornment of Today's Women
Times have passed, times have changed. Women gradually began to deteriorate morally, their means of adornment have also changed, beauty salons have appeared. The main purpose of these institutions is to show women's revealing clothes and bodies. The reason for their opening is to change fashions, to hold various exhibitions that deceive women, through which evils are presented to the public in a beautiful way, and to exhaust the mind. These things are so far from the laws of religion and morality that even the ignorant society did not realize this. Perhaps the ignorance of the twenty-first century has included the customs of the previous ignorance era and has reached its highest stage, which they call "civilization."
If you think about it, you can see that the new patterns that change every minute, the fashions and exhibitions that show off every moment, are driving women to madness. Women are influenced by this dangerous trend and are dressing themselves according to its requirements. Women are so obsessed with buying and using everything that fashion houses offer that psychologists, concerned about this, are warning women against becoming obsessed with the disease of seduction.
It is unfortunate that newspapers and magazines are advertising and distributing these fashions and revealing dresses, trampling on Muslim women and leading them to nudity and debauchery. Even in an attempt to discourage them from wearing Islamic clothing, famous fashion designers have made fun of our women's clothing and given various descriptions. One of them is a fashion designer named Anis ( Unais ) Mansur, who said the following:
"This winter, such a simple and stupid fashion trend will appear. These dresses are very wide and long. Our women who wear them look like clothes hangers, their bodies and the clothes they wear look like they are fighting. In these clothes, neither legs are visible nor breasts are visible. There are no wrists or necks, women look like multi-colored tents."
A woman named Amina Said wrote in an article in the newspaper "Havvo" on November 18, 1972, about the clothing that Islamic law requires women to wear:
"Of course, these elaborate garments are just a superficial layer. They are not enough to please Allah or to enter Paradise. Therefore, I do not see any logic in young girls going out on the streets and universities in such ugly-looking clothes and calling it their 'Islamic style'. I believe that a group of girls in educational institutions, covering their entire bodies from head to toe, is the same as the appearance of a shroud."
According to the above definitions, the hijab is considered a tent for Anis Mansur, and a shroud for Amina Said.
In today's world, women are using countless amounts of cosmetics, such as oils, powders, paints, and perfumes, which have led to the development of shameful advertisements and posters on the streets promoting these products.
In the 21st century, women's interest and desire for makeup has reached such a level that they are no longer satisfied with makeup, but have even resorted to surgical procedures in their desire to remove ugly parts and become more beautiful.
Such degradation and depravity in women's behavior were brought about by certain groups who called themselves communists, cultured intellectuals, and wore the garb of shame. Women followed them.
As a result, they were left in a state of misery, cut off from their identity, heritage, and history. This group was the first to open the doors of defeat and decline to the Ummah that we are witnessing today. They fell because they could not protect their women, which led them to their destruction. As a result of these actions, Muslim women lost their beautiful clothes. As if that were not enough, they also publicly announced that they had abandoned their history, culture, and social background. They abandoned everything that was their virtue, and as a result, they were left as useless, scattered, and broken-hearted wretches, while those who started them on this path left them in the dark, unable to find their way. One can see how this situation fits the saying, “ I have a brain, I have a bag of gold .” Of course, knowledge adorns a person, it is the greatest and most beautiful.
To prevent us from falling into this situation, Allah Almighty warned us in His Book and in the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), calling us not to act in accordance with the disbelievers and their actions.
Allah Almighty says: “Say: ‘O People of the Book! Do not transgress in your religion and do not follow the desires of those who went astray before and led many astray, and went astray altogether from the right path. ’ ”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said : "Whoever imitates a people is one of them . "
