How was Adam created?
Undoubtedly, Adam (peace be upon him) is considered the beginning of humanity. Allah Almighty created him from clay in the form of a perfect human being. His becoming a perfect human being did not happen by being created in the form of one of the creatures and improving from time to time or in similar ways, as Darwinists claim. According to their claim, humanity began as apes and, after going through several stages, acquired the form we know today.
But this is a false theory. Because Allah created Adam from clay and breathed into him a spirit, and thus Adam took on a human form consisting of flesh and blood. The following verse confirms this: “And remember when your Lord said to the angels: ‘Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have shaped him and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down in prostration to him and fall down in prostration.” (Surah Sad, verses 71-72)
According to the rules of the Arabic language, which is the language of the Quran, the letter “ف – fo” at the beginning of the word “فقعوا” in this verse, which means “fall down in prostration,” requires that the action expressed after it occur immediately. That is, if a verb has this letter “ف – fo” at the beginning, it means that there was no delay in that action. According to this, as soon as Allah Almighty breathed life into Adam, the angels were to prostrate to him. It follows that when the angels prostrated, the creation of Adam was literally completed, and his human form was “confirmed” and perfected, as expressed in the verse.
Furthermore, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in his hadeeth, “Allaah created Adam in His own image.” This also confirms that Allaah created Adam in His own perfect human form, not in the form of an ape or any other creature.
Imam Fakhruddin Razi, who spent his life engaged in various scientific discussions and research and broadened the horizons of Islamic sciences, also said in his interpretations on this matter, "Allah Almighty created Adam in the form of a human being."
