Sirdarya region increases product exports to Egypt

It is planned to increase the export of products from Syrdarya region to Egypt. The parties also discussed possible areas of cooperation in energy, water and agriculture, geology, pharmaceuticals, trade, jewelry, beekeeping and other fields.

"Dunyo" news agency reports that the issues of increasing the export of products from the region to Egypt were discussed at the meeting between the representatives of the Syrdarya regional government and the chairman of the board of directors of the Bell Energy company of Egypt, Haisam Husayn.

The investor was told about the investment and export potential of the region.

In addition, Uzbekistan and Egypt are planning projects in the field of water management in the Samarkand region.

In turn, the Egyptian businessman expressed his desire to participate as a contractor and investor in projects implemented in various sectors of the republic.

The parties discussed possible directions of cooperation in energy, water and agriculture, geology, pharmaceuticals, trade, jewelry, beekeeping and other fields.

"Special attention was paid to increasing the volume of export of products grown in this area to Egypt. In particular, the prospects of exporting wheat and flour, fruits and vegetables, legumes and other agricultural products were discussed in detail," the report said.
