Israel plans military operation in Yemen

Israel is planning a new military operation against the Ansarullah movement in Yemen in response to ongoing missile and drone attacks, Anadolu Agency reported, citing Israeli KAN TV channel.

In particular, on Monday, a ballistic missile and drone launched by the Houthis on the city of Jaffa, near Tel Aviv, were intercepted by Israeli air defense systems. Five people were injured in this attack. In this regard, the Israeli government decided to respond firmly to the Houthi attacks. The Houthis, on the other hand, view their actions as solidarity with the Palestinian resistance forces.

According to KAN, Israeli security agencies are analyzing the activities of the Iranian-influenced region and are planning a special operation to strike Houthi targets in Yemen.

Israel attacked the Yemeni port of Hodeidah in July and a number of Ansarullah targets in September. The planned operations in Yemen are being coordinated with US forces stationed in the Red Sea. US warships are providing Israel with technical and military support.

It is noted that Israel's planned operation against the Ansarullah movement in Yemen could further increase tensions in the region. This confrontation between the Iranian-backed Houthis and Israel is expected to affect not only the situation in Yemen, but also the security balance in the entire region.
