The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) reported that the impact of Israel's attacks on Gaza on the economy of neighboring countries was assessed.

In the statement of the UNDP and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), it was noted that as a result of the attacks on Gaza, neighboring countries are also facing socio-economic decline.

The statement warned that human development in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon could be delayed for at least 2-3 years due to conflicts in the region.

Also, if Israel's attacks on Gaza continue for the third month, 230,000 people in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan will be impoverished and these countries will lose about 10.3 billion dollars in income.

The statement called for an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire" in Gaza and warned that attacks could multiply their impact if the geographic scope of the attacks expands.
