British Islamophobe Tommy Robinson has been jailed for 18 months for repeatedly breaching a court ban after losing a defamation case against a Syrian migrant.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson, was jailed for 18 months for repeatedly breaching a restraining order. He previously lost a defamation case against Syrian refugee Jamal Hijazi and was ordered to pay £100,000 in damages.

"No one is above the law," Judge Johnson said.

Robinson pleaded guilty to 10 breaches of the 2021 Supreme Court order. He repeated false claims that Jamal Hijazi "is not innocent and is violently attacking young British girls at his school". These statements were also released in an interview and the 90-minute film "Silenced", which has been viewed millions of times.

Defense attorney Robinson stated that he acted based on his principles as a journalist. At the same time, the judge noted that the issue of violating the court decision and undermining the rule of law is being considered, not political activity.

Robinson was also ordered to pay £80,350.82 in court costs. His sentence could be reduced to four months if he removes Silenced from his social media.

"Today's verdict proves that Lennon's actions have legal consequences and will provide some form of justice for Jamal Hijazi," anti-racism group Hope Not Hate, which has collected evidence against the Islamophobe, said in a statement.

Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) is a British right-wing activist, founder and former leader of the far-right English Defense League (EDL). He is widely known for his anti-Islamic and provocative actions. Tommy Edison has been indicted multiple times for various crimes, including mortgage fraud, violating US immigration laws, and contempt of court.

In recent years, he has been actively involved in the life of mass media, running his own channel on social networks. Despite court bans and restrictions, they continue to promote anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim views.
