19 Uzbeks detained in Saudi Arabia returned

On March 12-14 of this year, 19 Uzbeks, including women who were previously detained by Saudi Arabian law enforcement agencies, were repatriated, Dunyo AA reports.

As a result of negotiations conducted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the competent authorities of Saudi Arabia, all the detainees were able to return to their families.

The fact is that the compatriots arrived in Saudi Arabia on tourist visas, but remained in the country to find work without obtaining the necessary permits. Among those arrested are people under the age of 20. The fact that some of them traveled without informing their relatives has caused concern among their families and an active search, the report says.
