Palestinian director who won an Oscar was beaten by Jews

Hamdan Balal, one of the authors of the documentary "No Other Land," was arrested by Israeli soldiers in the Susiya area in the southern West Bank.

According to The Guardian, masked Jewish settlers chased him to his home, beat him, and then handed him over to Israeli soldiers.

Witnesses said the attackers also damaged Balal's car, smashing its windows and slashing its tire. The director is known to have suffered head injuries, but there is no clear information about his current condition.

Hamdan Balal is one of the authors of the Oscar-winning film "No Other Land," which tells the story of the illegal land grabbing policy of Jewish settlers in the West Bank.
